Amazing Grace is a three-stateroom Symbol 50 Pilothouse berthed in a covered slip at Seabrook Marina in Seabrook, Texas. Her present owner has invested steadily in her since taking ownership, including a substantial 2024 refit of her comfort and cruising systems, building on the complete Furuno electronics package installed in 2021.

The Symbol 50 has long been a favorite among cruising couples for a simple reason: she does two jobs well. Twin 450hp Caterpillar diesels will move her at an 18-knot cruise when you want to cover water, and she settles just as comfortably into trawler speed for a long, quiet day underway. Naiad stabilizers keep her flat across the beam seas of the Gulf, and a 4'2" draft opens up the shallow bays, the ICW, and the Great Loop — where her hinged radar arch drops clearance for the bridges that turn other boats around.

Accommodations

The enclosed pilothouse is the center of life aboard. Port and starboard wing doors open directly onto full walkaround decks, an L-shaped convertible settee seats five alongside the helm, and a cherrywood stairway leads up to the flybridge from inside — a genuinely welcome detail when the weather turns.

The saloon carries a satin-finished cherrywood interior with teak-and-holly soles, with the galley down and forward so the cook stays part of the conversation rather than separated from it. U-shaped Corian counters, full-size appliances, and real storage make her practical for extended time aboard.

Below, the full-beam owner's suite sits aft beneath the pilothouse with a centerline queen, mirrored headboard, custom overhead soffit, and generous drawer and bookcase storage. The private en suite head features a stall shower with seating. Forward, a VIP stateroom with a centerline queen and a third stateroom with twin bunks share a two-door head — a true three-cabin layout rather than a compromise.
